And this time they stunned this entire world by wrapping up the one off six day test match against the World XI with two days to spare. It is unbelievable to see the amount of mental resolve and practise that goes behind this total domination by the world champs. Cricket is child's play that's what one might think when you see these guys operate with utmost precision. The World XI which is supposed to be the world's strongest team was thoroughly embarrassed in all departments. Inspite the presence of dashing Sehwag, ever appealing Brain Charles Lara, stylish Dravid, gutzy Kallis, ever cool Inzy ,Player of the year'05 Andrew Flintoff the Aussies proved why they are always special.
Glen Mcgrath had always been a very special customer. It is a sheer pleasure to watch this tall Australian from New South Wales bowl that nagging line around the off stump with such great accuracy. The Lee power had always been a menace to tackle.Very tough to be without admiring the beauty and elegance of his natural talent even if you are playing against him.On the whole a very talented and understanding team that puts the team above individuals a lesson Sourav's boys, emmm I'm sorry Dravid's boys should learn quick and fast. But that is another story.
Hats of team Australia who have redefined the modern cricket...

Is it an end of era ?

Maybe its time Sachin calls it a day, Sachin has to use a lighter bat, emm it would be great if Sachin could bat down the order, Sachin is no longer a match winner, Sehwag definitely a better player than Sachin, these are some of the comments that are slowly spurting here and there which would definitely not surprise me

The Chappel controversy..

It has been fascinating to know the amount of hype this game has created which has taken centre-stage dispute so many undealt political and economic issues that faces our country. I am really fascinated by the interest shown by people in following the game of cricket. In a country like India being a cricket critic or an analyst is a very tough job in the making for this is a country in which each and every one considers himself as a cricketing expert.
But one thing that has really caught me off guard is the going on Sourav- Chappell controversy. It all started with a great deal of hype and surprise created by the media when Greg Chappell sent in a confidential mail to the board stating that Sourav's batting genius is tested by the huge captaincy burden. With an unbiased mindset one would be clearly able to appreciate the courage and clarity of thought of Greg. But unfortunately we have complicated things to unmanageable extents that it almost portrays itself as the most critical issue the world has ever dealt with.
Cricket is popularly refered to be as a game that is worshipped in India but it is really unfortunate that we have forgotten that it is still a game. Ups and downs are part and parcel of the game. Some years ago it was Sachin and today is thundering Shewag. We should have the courage and mentality to accept the reality and work on it for a better future. It is a very known fact that Ganguly is no were near to the "Sourav-The Prince of Calcutta" we all know Greg's intuitions of we needing an immediate change to protect the batting talents of Ganguly and the greatness of the India which is in fact the 2004 world cup runner-up(a much forgotten fact) has simply been misunderstood .
But it is pathetic to see that we have totally lost the bigger picture that was pained by the Aussie legend and have created a real mess of a very clear and a lucid thought. Now the interesting million dollar question is who is the one who is gonna benefit from this electrifying Ganguly - Chappell battle ? As it sound very obvious it is neither Ganguly nor Greg nor out much respected BCCI. I would bet my money on your guess, yes for all reasons it is the media that manipulated and misinterpreted ideals to there whims and fancies whereby hurting the feelings of both the skipper and coach.
And for at least once lets analyse facts and know who the real culprits are.And if someone is hurt know who hurt you...
